November 11, 2007 Vivere, the Best of Andrea Bocelli translations Thanks to our good friend, Annalisa, we now have beautiful translations of the new songs on Vivere, the Best of Andrea Bocelli.
November 2, 2007 Vivere, the Best of Andrea Bocelli page Yes, it's been over a year and a half since I updated the lyrics archive. So far we just have the lyrics to the new songs on Vivere, the Best of Andrea Bocelli. I'll get those translations as quickly as possible. New pages have been added for Andrea's fifth and sixth opera recordings of Pagliacci and Cavalleria Rusticana. New titles and links Andrea's discography has become so vast that I changed the links to the various pages in the archive from graphics to text in order to keep the pages logical and proportional.
February 6, 2006 Amore page It's a work in progress, but a new page has been added for Andrea's latest pop CD, the exquisite Amore. I'll continue to add to the translations as quickly as possible. Thank you, Corina and Carolyn for all your help!
December 14, 2005 Werther page Better late than never ... a new page has been added for Andrea's fourth full length opera recording, Werther. Andrea has performed this opera on stage twice ... at the Michigan Opera Theater in Detroit in 1999 and in Bologna, Italy in 2004. Updates to the Andrea page Lyrics have been added to the Andrea page for the performance of Libertà that Andrea did with the young singers in Les Choristes.
February 20, 2005 On the Home page:
February 13, 2005 Notte 'e piscatore I was contacted by the fan club of Maurizio Morante, the composer of "Notte 'e piscatore." They have graciously provided the true lyrics for this song that Andrea performed in duet with Maestro Pavarotti during the Pavarotti & Friends 2 concert in 1994. The lyrics that appeared here for the past few years were transcribed by a Bocelli fan who grew up in a home that spoke the neopolitan dialect. It's a real treat to now have the official version. If you would like to visit the fan club site, go to www.mauriziomorante.it. Corrections A Greek fan provided a translation of "s'agapo, maista, es aei" in the song, "A Volte il Cuore." It means, "I love you, indeed, forever." Regretably, the translation of "Nuda carmina ad majora / Nuda carmina in carmine" is still a mystery. Several people have provided corrections to the various versions of "Vivo Per Lei." The German version has been updated and we now have a translation of the text. Some corrections were made in the Spanish translation.
November 21, 2004 Two additions to Andrea page The lyrics and translations for Semplicemente and Domani (the tracks that do not appear on the U.S. version of "Andrea") are now included on the "Andrea" page. Cosmetic enhancements New page title graphics have been added and other minor cosmetic improvements.
November 16, 2004 Andrea page A new page has been added with the text and translations for Andrea's latest pop CD entitled, Andrea.
November 1, 2004 Il Trovatore page A new page has been added for Andrea's third full length opera recording, Il Trovatore, which was released in June.
August 8, 2003 Pearl Fishers and The Homecoming A new page has been added for the video, "The Homecoming" which was taped during a celebration of Andrea's birthday. It features songs from the CD, Cieli di Toscana. This video is not sold in stores and was distributed in the U.S. by PBS as a "thank you" gift for a donation. Andrea's performance of the Pearl Fisher's duet with Bryn Terfel at the Classical BRIT Awards last May is featured in the new feature page, "The World Is Their Oyster!"
May 25, 2003 Tosca page A new page has been added for Andrea's second full length opera recording, Tosca, which was released on May 6, 2003.

Career timeline A page has been added to track events in Andrea's career. If you know of important events that you would like to see recorded, please send them to me. Guestbook map The AB Lyrics Archive has visitors from all over the world! Check out the new guestbook map. Boheme slide shows removed Due to decreases in space and bandwidth allowances on the free Tripod server (where my streaming content resides,) the audio slide shows on the La Boheme page have been removed. Performance improvements The archive now has more disk space and data transfer bandwidth, so you should no longer experience interruptions in service. And the site no longer has those annoying pop up ads!
January 12, 2002 New page for the Statue of Liberty Concert and more concert songs A new page has been added to honor the Statue of Liberty Concert and with it come two new songs to the archive... the "Brindisi" from Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana and "Vaghissima Sembianza." The Fall Tour of 2001 has brought some beautiful additions to the "In Concert" page:
And we have a small addition to the Cieli di Toscana page - the French version of the "L'Incontro" poem as recited by Gérard Depardieu.
December 26, 2001 Vivo Per Lei streaming media & Silent Night in Italian I have changed the audio clips for Vivo Per Lei to be streaming media. This means you should have faster access since it will not download to your computer before playing the clips. And as I watched my new Sacred Arias DVD during Christmas, I discovered the Italian lyrics for Silent Night ... Astro Del Ciel.
December 2, 2001 Cieli di Toscana Bonus Track I have added the lyrics for the bonus track, "Tornerà La Neve", to the Cieli di Toscana page. This track is included in the UK version of the CD, and it is featured in the Tuscan Skies TV special that aired on A&E. Also, I added a translated line that was missing from the third verse of the song, "Si Voltò."
October 31, 2001 Cieli di Toscana di Italia I have updated the Cieli di Toscana page to include lyrics from the Italian version. The song, "Someone Like You," is performed in English, and Andrea recites his "L'Incontro" poem in Italian. I added a more literal translation of the poem than that which Bono recites in the English version. This translation appeared in the concert program for the 1998 Tour of the Americas. We also have a reprint of the press release for Cieli di Toscana courtesy of CineMedia Promotions and links to the Bocelli artist page at www.iclassics.com.
October 19, 2001 Cieli di Toscana page A new page has been added for the text and translation of Andrea's new recording, Cieli di Toscana.
April 15, 2001 Verdi Requiem page A new page has been added for the text and translations of the Verdi Requiem. Concert slide shows! The Concert page has been updated to include the 2001 Spring Tour. I have also added slide shows with short audio clips from the Spring Tours of 2000 and 2001 as well as the Fall Tour of 1999. And yes, "Nessun dorma" is included! Please sign my guestbook You're invited to leave comments and suggestions in the guestbook, or you may continue to e-mail me privately at abmusica@operamail.com.
February 19, 2001 La Bohème page A new page for Andrea's first full length opera recording, La Bohème, has been added to the archive, and it is full of things to do, hear and see such as:
January 3, 2001 Announcing http://www.abmusica.com The Andrea Bocelli Lyrics Archive has its own domain name! Now you only have to remember the address, abmusica.com to go to the archive. (The site is still at the same Geocities address, so you don't have to change your bookmarks.) Vivo Per Lei in Portuguese! My new Brazilian friend, Cailiny, informed me that Andrea also recorded a Portuguese/Spanish version of Vivo Per Lei with a singer named Sandy Leah Lima. Sandy records and performs in Brazil with her brother as the popular duo, Sandy & Junior. She was only 14 years old when she made this recording for the Brazilian version of Romanza which is entitled Romanza em Espanhol.
December 9, 2000 The archive gets a face lift! I have designed a new look for the site using a different
color scheme and graphics that I designed myself. I hope you will find
these changes to be an improvement as you use the archive. New Special Features Page A new Special Features page has been added which contains information and unique music compilations for songs Andrea has recorded. This area includes the previously released Vivo Per Lei page and a new feature about the song, Miserere.
September 26, 2000 Verdi arias A new page has been added for the lyrics and translations for Andrea's new CD, Verdi. The many faces of Vivo Per Lei I now have a page that contains the four versions of the song Vivo Per Lei. For a limited time, I have also included some sound files with brief excerpts from each song so you can compare them!
August 18, 2000 Song Index An alphabetic index of all the songs and arias contained in the archive can be accessed at the top of each page. This should help you find something more quickly when you know the name of the piece but not the CD. Spanish Lyrics The lyrics to the songs that Andrea has recorded in Spanish can now be seen by clicking on the "Spanish" keyword above the Italian lyrics or by looking them up in the song index. These two CD's have Spanish counterparts:
Messaggio Bocelli A transcription and translation of the Messaggio Bocelli from Viaggio Italiano is now included in the archive.
May 28, 2000 New Address The Andrea Bocelli Lyrics Archive has moved to this new location
from its previous address: New In Concert Page A new area has been added to the site for lyrics to the songs and arias that Andrea has performed In Concert. So far, I have included the programs that he performed last fall in the Midwest and this spring in the South. Improved Site Navigation You should now find it easier and quicker to surf through the site using the new navigation bars and menus.
